How does remote setup work?+
We book a time, you share your screen via Google Meet or Teams, we take it from there while you watch. At the end we walk through everything we've done. Most setups take 1–3 hours.
Do I need to buy hardware from you?+
No — we're happy to configure or manage any existing Netgate appliance. Obviously we'd love it if you bought from us too, but there's no obligation whatsoever!
What if the setup takes longer than expected?+
Our fixed prices cover the vast majority of setups. If something genuinely unusual means it will take much longer, we'll stop and tell you before we continue — never surprise you afterwards.
Can I cancel the managed service?+
Yes — all managed plans are monthly rolling. Cancel with one month's notice at any time. No long-term contracts and no cancellation fees.
Do you work with my existing switches and access points?+
Yes, in most cases. pfSense plays nicely with almost all managed switches and wireless APs (Cisco, Ubiquiti, TP-Link, Netgear etc.). Just let us know what you have when you enquire.
Do you offer on-site visits?+
Yes — on-site installation is £599 and covers rack mounting, cabling, full configuration and staff handover. Available across UK mainland. Larger projects quoted separately.
